Discussion of "ju'i"

Curtis W Franks (Mon Dec 12 08:08:10 2022)

I would propose that this word at least sometimes be used in order to
translate the word "so" in the role of an attention-grabbing introductor,
as in the context of someone walking up to one and saying without preämble
"So, I was thinking […]". "Hwaet" ("hwæt"), as in the role of the first
word of /Beowulf/, functions in similar capacity. "Hark(en)!" can too.
