Why not "vendu'a"?

It could have the same meaning (modulo permutation of sumti slots), is well-formed and is composed of gismu veljvo, begins with a consonant, and is easier and quicker to say. Stick a "te" in front of it if you want to permute the sumti slots in order to match; this alternative will have predictable meaning and terbri structure, so such a conversion should be encouraged.
We can have semantic overlap in the language, though. Maybe there is some sort of poetic or wordplay motivation for the existence of this word, which I am failing to recognize.

I do like your version better. Feel free to downvote erveperdu. It was mainly a way to preserve the buy one get one phrase but that's not important for lojban.
