For a nonjargon sense, I would support such a definition. It could include
vectors (including sensu stricto complex numbers in certain
interpretations/structures) and other tensors and other number-like
objects (such as, perhaps, measurements, which technically are of two
parts: the number and the units/dimension). But if we mean only sensu
stricto complex numbers, I must oppose the definition. (By the way, in the
complex fiels, complex numbers are scalars.)

Having read the Lojban definition, I conclude that the latter possibility
is the actual case and I disprefer this word as a malglico calque.
