This is not correct English. By "teaching", did you mean "lesson"?

I am a native speaker of English, and I think it reads fine. I would
interpret it as a teaching or a lesson. Or have you never heard of a
'teaching'?

You are right that the definition is technically correct. However it is
confusing because 'teaching' usually means: 'The act, practice,
occupation, or profession of a teacher' (in Lojban 'nunctu')and not what I
think you meant: 'Something taught'. I suggest: c3 is a
teaching/[something taught] taught to audience c2 by teacher c1 about
subject c4 using method c5.

The gloss should also be changed to 'teaching; something taught'. The
gloss for the usual meaning of 'teaching' could be 'teaching; practice of
teaching'.
