Discussion of "delta"

Comment #1: Unintended, "bu"-related consequences
Curtis W Franks (Fri Jul 14 06:13:04 2017)

I just re-realized that when this word or, for example, "sigma" are
followed immediately by "bu", the result will be a reference to a symbol
which means mathematical entities (such as the difference operator or value
- or, in that example, a sigma (id est: ~p-) value or a ~variance). Thus,
if one is saying the Greek alphabet in Lojban using the convention of just
saying the Greek letter's name immediately followed by "bu", then they
would need to change the scheme a bit for "?" and maybe "?" (and "?" etc.).
Now, they could Lojbanize a bit differently (such as by using cmevla or
different transcriptions/pronunciations (especially relevant for modern
Greek delta)), but it is an issue which must be addressed and accounted
for.

UTF-8 symbols lost.

me'o sigma bu is the symbol. sigma bu is an anaphorical
pro-sumti.
