I see you used “tolspofu” for “functional”. But this “functional” is “functional” in the sense of “it works” or “it is not broken”.
Are you sure this is what is meant with the “f” in “fMRT”? :-/

«to'e spofu» is the polar opposite of spofu, so I would expect it to mean "functional/operational". You may get different nuances by using «na'e spofu» (nalpo'u) or «na spofu» (narpo'u), though I'm not sure whether there's a significant difference between nalpo'u and tolpo'u.

Oops, I've overlooked the context. In the context of the Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging technology, it seems that "functional" here means "brain activity", so tolpo'u is not the adequate word indeed. "Brain activity" could be rendered as «besna nuny'akti», I think.

Or zumfau? Indeed it means "functional" as in "stuff happening".

akti is related to ca'a, a demonstrated potential still in action. Brain activity is just pruce or fasnu
