Not the best example but let ka'e ~ jai cumki. Then

mi ka'e klama = mi jai cumki fai lo ka ce'u klama

mi jo'u do su'i'u sinma = mi jo'u do simxu fe lo ka ce'u ce'u sinma

mi klama ka'e ko'a = mi jai cumki fai lo ka ce'u klama ca ko'a

mi jo'u do sinma su'i'u ko'a = mi jo'u do simxu fe lo ka ce'u ce'u sinma
ca ko'a

Alternatively

mi ka'e klama = cumki fa lo nu mi klama

mi jo'u do su'i'u sinma = *zilsimxu fa lo nu mi jo'u do sinma lo nei

mi klama ka'e ko'a = cumki fa lo nu mi klama ca ko'a

mi jo'u do sinma su'i'u ko'a = *zilsimxu fa lo nu mi jo'u do sinma lo nei
ca ko'a

All right, interesting. The BPFK section for CAhA says the ka'e-tagged
sumti is an "under conditions" so maybe va'o or fau is better than
ca, but I get the point. It seems kind of superfluous to the meaning of
su'i'u, but okay. My impression is CAhA tagged sumti are rare anyway.

Yes, fau as a generalization of ca/bu'u/va'o.

Since many perceive fau not as la gleki then it's better to point at a
better understood cmavo, namely, ca, the most common case of fau.
