Anything that is conceptually discretized is kantu but such a thing need
not physically-behave in the nonclassical way that one would describe as
"quantum mechanical" in our currently understood metaphysics. It is a poor
thing that English does not distinguish the two concepts more clearly.
But, technically, almost all physical currency (bills, coins) are
quantized but their medium (the physical cloth or metal cylinder which is
considered to be of value) nor the mathematics of the concept of the money
itself actually displays any quantum mechanical properties.

As a result, when "quantum" is used in English in reference to quantum
mechanical entities or behaviours, this word is meant. Likewise, before
this word, Lojban lacked any way to say "quantum", it only had "discrete".
