It is a more general issue (concerning standardizing the integration of
biological science nomenclature into Lojban), but I just want to point out
that the "c" in this word is not satisfying to me. In older Latin, it
would be pronounced as "k"; in ecclesiastical Latin, it would be
pronounced as Lojban "tc"; in modern biology, it is probably pronounced as
"s"; it is spelled with a "c". This form preserves the written appearance
somewhat and blends the ecclesiastical and modern pronunciations.
