Discussion of "mapra"

Curtis W Franks (Thu May 22 04:30:42 2014)

Malleability, squishiness, gelatinousness is distinct from fluffiness.
Examples of things that are those things but are not fluffy: putty, the
exterior of a pillow, jellyfish, jelly, an empty can of soda, some slimsy
(and empty) plastic containers. Arguably, a moss-covered rock or a cat are
fluffy without being perceivably squishy.

Porousness is distinct from fluffiness. A sponge or a net may be porous
without being fluffy. The aforementioned fluffy things, along with
arguably a cloud, are arguably not porous.

A froth/foam/bubbly substance or an aerogel are not fluffy (and the former
may not even be able to be touched for a long period of time).
