lo konjaku is not brandy, it's a kind of arum.

Cognac is, according to swedish wikipedia, a type of brandy (spirits of
grape) from a limited area around the city of Cognac. But I'm not an
expert...

I said "arum", not "a rum" :) An arum is a plant with flowers borne on a
spadix, at least some with male flowers and female flowers on different
parts of the spadix, which is enveloped by a spathe. Taro (samcrtaro, in
the see also section) is another arum used as food.

To me "konjaku" sounds pretty close to both "cognac" and "konnyaku".
