Looking at the etymology, I don't see why the word is necessarily
negative. That is, it seems like it would be just as fair to translate it
as "x1 gives credit to/credits/acknowledges the contributions of x2 for
action x3". Essentially "x1 asserts that x2 is responsible for x3".
Also, it seems like the fuzme1 is only supposed to do fuzme2, not that
s/he actually did. So you could be responsible [to me] for locking the
door when you leave, and be blamed not for doing it, but for failing to do
it.
